In Loving Memory of Lucy Beale

In the soap world , you get alot of high drama, you get a lot of action and romance , but the one thing that I and so many other fans detest and do not look forward to is the death of a legacy characters beloved off spring.

On EastEnders on Good Friday  April 19th 2014 an event like this took place. Ian Beale lost his only daughter Lucy tragically when she was murdered by her 11 year old brother.

Lucy had been off the rails for quite some time snorting coke, to block out every single  thoughtless comment her father Ian said to her.

The poor lass was beside herself, she didn't want to be  seen as " The Golden Child" the one who he depended on for everything. But that's just the way it happened.

Lets wind the clock back to  2012 Ian Beale had a break down , and he wound up living in the streets for two months, Lucy was forced to look after the businesses on her own, look after her little brother and still attend school herself.

The lass was strong enough to try and do it on her own, but when it was clear she was struggling, and her friends and neighbors discovered Ian had walked away from his kids they were concerned and worried for the kids as well as him.

Alfie Moon ( Played by Shane Richie)  and Max and Tanya Branning ( Jake Wood and  Jo Joyner) went off on a search for their missing friend and they found him .

Ian was deshelved , and scared , and they decided to take him home. But as they say the course of true love never does run smooth.

Lucy couldn't face seeing her dad like that , nor did she want anything to do with him, eventually they did repair their relationship, but then it came out she was doing cocaine, and he became angry with her and they had a shouting match the very night she died.

Which lead to 11 year old Bobby to get out of bed take his sisters jewelry box and smash her in the head with it , instantly killing her.

Their step mum Jane came across the scene and was upset when she saw her beloved step daughter dead, yes I say that but its a bit tongue in cheek really. Jane and Lucy had their troubles but they patched them up.

Jane took Lucy's dead body to  Walford Common instead of going to the police , and we wound up seeing the whole investigation with the suspects being lined up one by one.

No one knew it was Bobby until the 30th Anniversary episode, but even still Max Branning and even Ben Mitchell were in the frame for this and they did nothing to deserve it.

Eventually Phil and Sharon Mitchell found out and they were pissed that the truth was being covered but but they helped Ian and Jane cover up the truth none the less until one dad Bobby decided it was best he told the truth.

He wound up going to prison for her death , but he won't likely be seen in Walford again.

Here is a video we have done to showcase the events that lead up to her death In April 2014.
